It’s simple. Pandas are getting extinct but efforts are made to save them and here the panda is sleeping and my only plea is that don’t let it sleep forever which is the indirect meaning of this piece of design.

I don’t think this design is effectively communicating saving the pandas from going extinct.

O.K. but again take it the abstract way. Say for example a man is sleeping and while sleeping he appears dead, i.e. only appears to be dead but not really, and one will say that he’s resting, in paece, i.e. he’s sleeping in peace and not R.I.P.
