It is really good to see a design raising awareness to a situation that is really not given enough attention because so many other human rights efforts are in the forfront of mainstream media, thanks alot Tasha, your design and your commitment are beautiful

About My Design:
This T shirt was designed to raise awareness in supporting Taiwan, an
independent country, not yet formalized. It has struggled to be a member of the United Nations as well as other international organizations in order to have equal rights as all other peoples in the world, due to People’s Republic
of China’s fault’s claim over the island’s sovereignty, with its increasing missiles for the last 6 decades and continued to vetto for Taiwan to join the UN and many other organizations. PRC has NEVER ruled Taiwan for even
one day.
It is an island nation that had struggled for democracy for over 50 years of the Chinese Nationalist Party’s (KMT, escaped from China after World War II) Leninist one-party state, endured and survived one of the longest periods of White Terror and Martial Law in history. In 1996, it finally achieved a hard won democracy when the people got the right to publicly elect their president and had the first Taiwanese president and a democratic party, with many of our predecessors risked and sacrificed their lives going on protests in order to bring freedom to my generation.
Yet our shining democracy is deterating due to the Chinese nationalist party back in power again last year, many experts and human rights organizations
have condemned the ruling party for putting the democracy in jeopardy,
with its continuous violations for the judiciary, human rights and the lack of transparency in its dealing with the Chinese government.
The flower here is Taiwan lily which grows wild and everywhere on the island, and a symbol of Taiwan democracy, with her beautiful bloom despite all conditions, symbolizing our long struggle which is unknown to many people in the world.
The Chinese characters mean, “to safeguard Taiwan democracy”.
