Great. Only thing I would do is try to avoid that sharp crop at the bottom… or is your thinking that that would be the bottom of the tee?

Great. This isn’t my platform, but I’d love to see this T-shirt on others

i like the design, is there any particular reason for the splitting up of words between black and white. the message of this only clearly came to me when i read the explanation so not sure how the message will be conveyed clearly on a t-shirt. Also in response to your statement “Family Time is a thing of the past. What has replaced the time Mom and Dad use to spend wit their kids?” I think this issue has been tackled quite cleverly with the introduction of the Nintendo Wii and its appeal to a more family orientated target audience, multiplayer family of 4 Wii Sports tennis etc etc

Thanks for the comment on the design “addsenior”, the word Nintendo is split between black and white to represent analog code (on and off). The reference to analog is not something that I expect most people to pick up on, but it allows me to make my statement a more general one so that I’m not just picking on Nintendo, thanks for asking.
I try not to make any of my messages too clear as I find that it’s insulting to my viewers to make things too simple. Plus, I want viewers to have to invest themselves in my art before I reward them with meaning or understanding.
As to your Wii comment, I totally agree that it’s a clever play by Nintendo to get families together. It’s a product/concept that has been lacking so far in regards to gaming and I’m excited to see where they take it. So is it unfair of me to target Nintendo? maybe, but that’s doesn’t stop them from being somewhat iconic in their field - and that is what I am attacking. We also have to consider the Wii from there marketing point of view. Do they sell more game consoles because they market it to ‘family time’? probably. Do they, (Nintendo), care if it brings families closer together? probably not - but then again, I’m a cynic.

About My Design:
This generation of youth is under immense pressure to conform to Pop Culture. Never before has our youth been exposed to such a poignant influence. Children are not being taught how to properly cope with the daily bombardment of propaganda in today’s media. Today’s children are being raised to accept, tolerate and even crave a level of violence, sexuality and disrespect that has never been tolerated before.
The image I have chosen is one of a friend playing “Duck Hunt” by Nintendo. I chose it because of it’s innocuousness and yet it symbolically stands for the beginning of an era. Duck Hunt nor Nintendo is inherently bad, however, what they have begun to replace is my concern. Family Time is a thing of the past. What has replaced the time Mom and Dad use to spend wit their kids? Other things - and it’s these other things that scare me.
