Why not a realistic silhouette of a dove, since you gave texture to the stripes

Because the bars’ texture indicates they are breaking down (symbolic of a corrupt society). The dove’s in a cage / jail, but not disintigrating.

not talking about giving texture to the dove but making it look like a dove and not a stylization of one
That whole degrading flag=degrading country is a bit of a symbolic overkill LOL

This is great. But what if the design was in the shape of a bird cage? I’m sure people will get it as is, but you never know. They might not see this as the dove being behind bars so much as behind a flag. t’s obvious to me, but you have to give your audience less credit sometimes.

If you want to give your audience less credit, you might as well guess that they’d miss the message completely and think that the shirt was patriotic. I like it.

again, nice idea, a bit more work needed though, the style of the bird is totally different to the texture of the flag, also the stars are cut off and out of line, just needs neatening up and it’ll be great - good work

About My Design:
My friend Lindsay inspired this design. Flags and doves - cliché but I could play around all day. Some of the best critics of America are Americans, so I’m hopeful some Yanks would get a kick out of this design too.
