Nice idea but needs more work. I’d want the fade to be more gradual (and more complete). Are you allowed to use tints of colour in the design? If not, you might have used more then allowed according to the contest rules.

No, tints are not allowed since the process is similar to silk screening. I count 8 colors so it’s one too much, unfortunately the rules states that halftones are not allowed because it could be done with fading halftone patterns…
I like the design, not so keen on the type and would rather have it on a colored t-shirt. Congrats anyway

Thanks for letting me know! I never saw anything about tones or shades. Clearly I’m not reading something somewhere. I’ll go find it. ^_^

Hi picturesofamemory. Yeah, Menosketiago is right in what he says. You’ll find the details under “#2 Design"at: http://www.artevist.com/index.php/contests/guidelines/
We thought we’d let this slip through though since it wouldn’t be hard to reduce it down to 5-7 colours… and because we love animal designs. We realize we need to make our submissions process a little clearer as many people now assume you can print anything on a T-shirt.
If you’d like to tighten it up and re-submit, that’s not a problem.

Don’t know about all the design lingo going on, but love the tiger. I’d wear this on my chest.

Yeah, I like the tiger a lot, and the aspect of the hidden tiger is very mysterious. It makes you think about the reality of extinction

the concept is cool .... if the rules will be followed then it might give it a more enhanced look ... even then its very nice

About My Design:
I attempted to make the tiger look as if it were fading - i.e. due to extinction, the animal is “fading out.”
This design was inspired by children. The slogan is a bit childish this way, but it makes me think of whether or not our children, or there children, will ever see a tiger in real life - or if they will only be limited to photographs.
