this is a great! Idea for a t-shirt, it really brings home the issues going on in London’s streets.

I’m impressed! Really like the concept, though not sure I would wear it out and about.

Yes, I have already screen printed it myself, but only for personal use. Why?

design is real nice and love the use of type, i like the concept of the geometric locations of the murders in london but i dont think many people will realise that at first glance.
infact… this t-shirt is all about those 27 teenagers and it works well as a homage to thier deaths so f**k it, i like it!

About My Design:
In 2007, there were 27 teenagers murdered in London. That’s more than two killings a month! It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to suggest that there is an epidemic in the city of London. These shocking statistics should provoke all of us to action. Already this year there have been thirteen teenagers slain on the streets of London. I believe that it is time we sat up and took notice of what is going on around us, which is the reasoning behind the creation of this t-shirt.
On the front of the t-shirt, are the names of all the 27 teenagers murdered last year, show in black type, in red is the cause of death, i.e. stab, shot or beaten. The front of the t-shirt has been arranged to mimick a wound a stab victim might have. I also chose the simple Helvetica medium typeface as the subject matter needed a typeface that would not distract from the issue.
On the back of the t-shirt, is a map of london. The River Thames is made up of the victims ages and the red and black circles show the geographic location of the murders.
The statement running across the bottom right side, summarises the message behind the design of the t-shirt and questions the audience - ‘27 teenage killings in London, 2007. WHY?’
