 GRIST ENVIRONMENTAL NEWS

We really like Grist.org out of Seattle, WA. It's a little skewed toward US content, but still has something for everyone, and their writing style is spot on.

Here's a great idea from the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) working with Ogilvy, New York.

The work is aimed at raising awareness of climate change and to motivate rapid transit use (it's a subway ventilation grate) to New Yorkers. The street-level, viral campaign forms the basis for a larger televised PSA campaign using this filmed segment. More information can be found on the EDF's Press Release from September 9th.

We don't know how long the bears were on the street, but here is a summary of what we do know.

  • Client: Environmental Defense Fund
  • Agency: Ogilvy, New York
  • Production Company: Biscuit Filmworks USA
  • Director: Tim Godsall
  • Artist: Josh Harris
  • Music: Stars of the Lid

If you see or hear of amazing art like this, be sure and tell us, we'd love to feature it on Artevist.com.
