We really like Grist.org out of Seattle, WA. It's a little skewed toward US content, but still has something for everyone, and their writing style is spot on.

‘Cycling Rocks’ Contest Extended

Dear Artevist members:
Because of the popularity of our ‘Cycling Rocks’ contest, we’ve decided to extend it until July 1st (previously April 1st). Seems everyone is thinking bike t-shirts for summer!
Since Artevist is so new, it will take a little time until we have enough visitors to run the short contests of other sites, which sometimes run only a few weeks. We’re not really sure that’s our goal anyway, as many of those simply become personal popularity contests, based on who can send the most people to their webpage.
Don’t get us wrong, having friends and family support your design is part of Artevist, but we also want the site to be a real forum for choosing outstanding graphic design with a message. So far, we’re finding that great design really does rise to the top given some time, and in the case of ‘Cycling Rocks’, we’ve already chosen a couple for production into organic cotton and bamboo tees.
We won’t be extending this contest again so July 1st ‘really’ is the deadline for any new submissions. For those that have already submitted, it means you have a few more months to tell people about your design or even submit another!
Thanks for everyone’s understanding as we keep growing.
Eric
