ECO-FRIENDLY PRINTING

REHANCE™ is a patented process of T.S. Designs of North Carolina. T-shirts are printed with reactive, water-based dyes instead of plastic inks. These dyes impregnate the fibre and the result is an exceptionally durable image that doesn't flake or peel like plastic inks. There is none of that hard feel of plastic and it breathes beautifully. Best of all, the elements used in the REHANCE™ process are far more gentle on the environment.

REHANCE™ only works with coloured material, so white Tees still have to be printed by conventional means. When this is the case, we always prefer water-based inks, and use plastic inks only as a last resort.

T.S. Designs has adopted sustainable practices for its entire business, including wind, solar and bio-diesel initiatives.

Aside to being bad for the environment, plastic inks just aren't very comfortable or durable. The REHANCE™ process produces a superior product that feels and wears better, lasts longer and helps our beleaguered planet.

With REHANCE™ technology the actual fiber is changed at the molecular level, allowing the fabric to remain breathable after printing.		With plastic inks, the surface has to be sealed, which creates non-breathable areas. Here, the red area has been sealed to achieve the red colour on top of the blue fabric.

Image Stability

As Tees printed with plastic inks are washed, the chemicals that let the ink stretch start to leech out. This allows the printed image to crack and peal and it then deteriorates very quickly. The REHANCE™ Tee remains soft and comfortable for ages, with very little loss in image quality.

Resistance to Fading

Since plastic inks are a surface coating, the ink soon begins to fade after washing. The image on a T-shirt printed with REHANCE™ is far more resistant to fading.
